Toi 'n' Moi® Mac Cleaner

Version 1.2

Device limits, now actually enforced — and actually usable

• Every plan's device count is now enforced for real, not just billed for. A Business subscription now lets every paid device actually be used — previously, only the one Mac that completed checkout could ever activate the license, even though the plan was billed for more devices.
• New: "Already subscribed on another device?" — on a second Mac, enter the email you subscribed with and a one-time code sent to it attaches that device to your existing subscription, up to your plan's device limit.
• New: Manage Devices — see every device currently using your subscription and free up a slot from any of them, right from Subscription settings.

Fixed

• Fixed a device that just joined a subscription receiving a token that could fail its own local verification.

Highlights

• App Permission Auditor — a real, per-app dashboard of which installed apps have access to Accessibility, Screen Recording, Full Disk Access, Camera, Microphone, Contacts, Calendar, Photos, Files & Folders, Automation, and Input Monitoring, with a transparent, documented risk score, an unknown-developer warning, and an exportable report.
• App Updater — checks your installed apps against a maintained update catalog and shows what's out of date, with a link to the developer's site. Detection only — it never downloads or installs anything automatically.
• Privacy Cleaner now also clears Safari browsing history, Safari cookies, and Recent Items (Recent Documents, Recent Applications, Recent Servers, and each app's own recent-file list), on top of the browser cache cleanup it already did. Your Finder sidebar Favorites are never touched.

Fixed

• A screen could incorrectly show "not scanned yet" after navigating away and back, even though a scan had already completed — fixed for the Permission Auditor screen.

Security & Privacy

• The Permission Auditor and Privacy Cleaner's Safari/Recent-Items tier read directly from macOS's own TCC permission database and Safari's own data files, locally — nothing is uploaded, and both require you to explicitly grant Full Disk Access first.
• The Permission Auditor's risk score is a transparent, documented formula, not a black box — weighted by permission sensitivity and whether the app has a verifiable developer identity.

Known Limitations

• The Permission Auditor doesn't track Location access — that data lives in a root-owned system file that's unreadable even with Full Disk Access, so this permission type is honestly reported as "not checked" rather than guessed at.
• The App Updater's version comparison is intentionally conservative: an app with a non-standard version string (a beta suffix, a build hash) may go unflagged even when a newer version is genuinely available, rather than risk a false "update available."
• The Malware Scanner remains heuristic-only (suspicious startup locations, hidden executables) — it flags what's worth reviewing, not confirmed malware, since no real signature database is used.
• The Scheduler only runs automated tasks while Mac Cleaner is open — it doesn't yet register a background LaunchAgent to run when the app itself is closed.

Version 1.0 First Public Release

The first public release of Toi 'n' Moi® Mac Cleaner: Smart Scan and every cleanup category (System Junk, Trash, Large & Old Files, Downloads, Developer Junk), duplicate file and photo detection, App Leftovers and Uninstaller, Startup Item management, a real Security Dashboard and heuristic Malware Scan, File Organiser, Smart Archive, an interactive Storage Map, scheduled maintenance, exportable Reports, and a Quarantine review/restore flow — every above-safest-tier removal is quarantined first, never deleted outright, until you confirm.

Highlights

• Subscription billing via Stripe (Personal, Pro, Family, and Business plans), with a 7-day free trial and a 500 MB free-mode cleanup cap.
• Signed and notarized for direct distribution, with automatic in-app updates via Sparkle.
