Release Notes
Toi 'n' Moi® DataDock AI
Version 0.2.0
Device limits, now actually enforced — and actually usable
- Every plan's device count is now enforced for real, not just billed for. A Team subscription now lets every paid seat actually be used — previously, only the one Mac that completed checkout could ever activate the license, even though the plan was billed for more seats.
- New: "Already subscribed on another device?" — on a second Mac, enter the email you subscribed with and a one-time code sent to it attaches that device to your existing subscription, up to your plan's device limit.
- New: Manage Devices — see every device currently using your subscription and free up a seat from any of them, right from Settings.
Fixes
- Fixed a device that just joined a subscription receiving a token that could fail its own local verification.
Version 0.1.0 First Public Release
DataDock AI is a native macOS app that gives every business a private, local AI data analyst for their existing databases and business tools — no cloud AI dependency, no data leaving your Mac by default.
Highlights
- Ask DataDock — ask questions about your data in plain English; every answer's generated SQL, data source, model, and confidence level are always visible.
- 20+ connection types — PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, SQLite, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, DuckDB, Supabase, ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Firestore, plus QuickBooks, Xero, Salesforce, Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot, Airtable, Notion, GitHub, Zendesk, Jira, WooCommerce, Google Sheets, and file imports with automatic folder-watch importing.
- Semantic Layer — governed, reusable metric definitions with AI-assisted suggestion, business-entity detection, conflict detection, and schema-remapping, all reviewed and explicitly approved by you.
- SQL Lab, Dashboards, Reports (with scheduling), Forecasts (moving average, exponential smoothing, linear regression, seasonal decomposition), and statistical Anomaly Detection with a feedback loop.
- Customer, Finance, and Operations Intelligence — deterministic RFM segmentation, AR aging and revenue concentration analysis, and SLA/backlog monitoring.
- Data Quality Monitor — missing values, duplicates, broken relationships, and outliers, with an overall quality score.
- Model Manager — Apple's on-device Foundation Models, a curated catalogue of downloadable on-device MLX models (each checksum-verified before use), or Ollama.
- Audit Log — a complete, searchable record of every question, query, and access decision.
- Business Type presets — General, E-commerce, SaaS, and Care Provider.
- Five subscription tiers (Starter, Business, Business Pro, Team, Enterprise) — a 14-day free trial with no card required, and an expired subscription never blocks access to your existing data.
- Signed and notarized for direct distribution, with automatic in-app updates.
Security & Privacy
- All AI inference and data processing happens on your Mac by default.
- Every credential is stored exclusively in macOS Keychain.
- A built-in SQL safety validator blocks destructive statements on any connection not explicitly configured for write access.
- Every downloadable on-device AI model is checksum-verified against a signed manifest before use.
Known Limitations
- DataDock AI runs as a single local user per Mac today — no multi-account login or real-time collaboration yet.
- The Enterprise plan is sales-led (contact us directly) rather than self-serve.
- Team plan seat count is a billing quantity set at checkout; DataDock AI does not enforce per-seat access control locally.
Full version history will be added here as new releases ship. See the app's Check for Updates… menu item, or this page, for the latest version.
